roadtrip

"are we almost there?" "how much longer?" "are we in arizona now?" "are we in a different state yet?"

umm... no, we just backed out of the driveway...

"how much longer?"

subtract 30 seconds from the last time you asked.
good times.

but hey, we made it and didn't have a repeat of this memorable trip.

a few things we've learned:

1. chocolate is not the best thing to eat in the car. (unless you are mommy and you can sneak m&m's in your mouth without your kids noticing)
2. it never hurts to look your best. you never know who you might impress at desert truck stops.3. snacks. lots and lots and lots of snacks.4. go to the library and check out new (to your kids) movies. really, really long new movies. 5. the best way to deal with this:is definitely this:6. and when all else fails...
(what? yeah, my 18 month old still takes a bottle. so? its not like he's my firstborn who was weaned from the bottle by the time she turned one and never ever had one again. he's my 3rd. therefore, he will continue to have a bottle until he one day says to me, "no thank you, mom. i have decided to fall asleep peacefully on my own. sorry for all the headaches i've caused, but i won't be needing the bottle anymore.")

so until that day comes, i will enjoy this:

I LOOOVE your blog. You always give me a giggle. Glad you didn't have the repeat breakdown, although I did enjoy reading that one too.
What kind of car seats do the older kiddies have? They are huge. I need one.
