goody, goody, gumdrops

our rainy day fun.
the perfect opportunity to practice shapes, patterns, build houses, space ships, and "master" cars. whatever those are.
oh, and also to eat as much christmas clearance sugar as possible before lunch.

and, call me crazy, but i thought an octagon had 8 sides.
guess ross isn't the place for buying "educational" place mats. no wonder they were such a good deal.

and later this afternoon, we are going to work on "how to smile naturally for the camera."

Now when your kids fail geometry, you'll know why...

What a great idea! Although I have a vision of Gabe poking someone's eye out with those toothpicks. You're braver than I am.

What is it about mommy's camera that brings out the cheeseball smile?

Maybe the placemats were made in China and six-sided shapes are octagons to them :-) Looks like you had fun with the project :-)

Great idea! Anything that we can call educational but also means mommy gets to eat candy is great in my book!
